Challenges and opportunities of metropolitan agriculture: micro learning online course

Urban and peri-urban agriculture is a matter of growing importance on a territorial scale. It is reflected in actions aimed at reconnecting the urban population to agricultural production and relocating food systems by promoting short circuits. Its development is based on entrepreneurs who carry agricultural projects and on the public authorities and planners who will put in place favourable strategies on their territory. SESAME online course offers a training for public authorities and planners to provide them with a deeper knowledge about metropolitan agriculture as well as insights on the different factors and key stakeholders that may be needed for planning an effective public policy in the field of urban agriculture. The course is divided into 5 chapters, each one has a short explanation video, a self-assessment test and a supplementary worksheet to get more information about the subject.
