EU Missions are a novelty of the Horizon Europe programme aiming to address some of the greatest challenges facing our society. The European Commission will organize an EU Missions info days for all researchers, innovators and all stakeholders on 18 and 19 January 2022. Sessions will be available to watch from the Commission webpage. No registration is required.

Apply now to become a host city of the Connecting Nature Roadshow European cities are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to become a stop on the Horizon2020 project Connecting Nature Roadshow - a mobile exhibition showcasing innovative solutions to co-create, implement and manage nature based-solutions. The Roadshow will customize interactive workshops for each city during a 3 day stopover in April 2022. Our aim is to bring cities, citizens and nature closer together and promote the implementation of nature-based solutions in urban spaces. Interested cities can now apply for the Roadshow via our online form by 12th January 2022 with more information available in our brochure.
Horizon2020 EKLIPSE project Open Call for Knowledge on Biodiversity and Pandemics invites scientists, policy makers, practitioners and other societal actors to share their knowledge on Biodiversity and pandemics, including zoonotic diseases. The main aim of this Call for Knowledge is to support the identification of research gaps and policy needs in order to develop a strategic research agenda on Biodiversity and pandemics, aligned with relevant sectoral policy agendas. Eklipse wants to explore the amount of knowledge existing in this area and the main knowledge holders and initiatives to refine the evidence needs on Biodiversity and pandemics. Please contribute your comments and knowledge/initiatives/references through social media using the hashtag #BiodiversityPandemics, or through the Eklipse Survey, or just send Eklipse an email! Deadline: 14th January 2022
Interreg Central Europe has open call until 23 February 2022. Check-out the specific focus on objectives 2.2 Increasing the resilience to climate change risks in central Europe and 2.4 Safeguarding the environment in central Europe and 4.1 Strengthening governance for integrated territorial development in central Europe In order to link up with project ideas and join partnerships it is recommended for any stakeholders interested to join the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Applicant Community - Introduction (interreg-central.eu). Horizon2020 MaCoBioS projects has launched a survey (open until 16th February 2022) to understand public perceptions about how climate change may affect the sustainable management of marine and coastal resources. This research will help MaCoBioS develop clear policy advice on how to manage resilient marine and coastal ecosystems by ensuring that public views are included in our policy advice.
Do you have an example of Nature-based solutions implemented at ponds? There are many scattered initiatives to create, restore and manage ponds across Europe.
