Workstream 5 ensures the long-term storage and dissemination of project outputs via Oppla, the EU Repository of Nature-based Solutions.
EU-funded projects often deliver high-impact results, but once funding ends, there’s a risk that their outputs become inaccessible as project websites fade. Workstream 5 addresses this challenge by ensuring long-term storage and dissemination of results through Oppla, the EU Repository of Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
Oppla provides a lasting, open-access home for project outputs, including resources, tools and practical case studies of NbS in action. It also hosts dedicated websites and workspaces for projects including NetworkNature, and is the platform underpinning the new EU Science Service, launching in 2026.
By sharing outputs via Oppla and NetworkNature, projects are integrated into a wider knowledge ecosystem - helping to sustain their impact and connect their findings to global communities working on nature-based solutions.
A new version of Oppla has recently launched, bringing enhanced opportunities for storing and sharing outputs. Updates include streamlined templates for cataloguing resources and case studies, and an application programming interface (API), available from autumn 2025, that will allow other platforms to access and display Oppla content seamlessly.
Throughout September, Task Force 1 members and other stakeholders will be invited to participate in a user consultation to review the new Oppla templates and provide feedback on the redesigned NetworkNature website.
Projects interested in using the new API or seeking support during implementation are encouraged to contact TF1@networknature.eu
