B-USEFUL
Project Outline
B-USEFUL is a Horizon Europe project aiming to support the protection and restoration of marine biodiversity through integrated and spatially explicit marine conservation and restoration planning. It brings together a transdisciplinary consortium of 14 partners across Europe, combining natural and social sciences to co-develop scientific tools and policy advice. The project contributes to the Biodiversity Strategy 2030 and its goal to legally protect 30% of EU seas and strictly protect a third of that. B-USEFUL also works closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and trade-offs and to deliver usable knowledge for marine biodiversity governance across multiple scales and sectors.
Start - end date:
1 October 2022 - 30 September 2026
