Amongst the involved in deeper discussion at the Swedish Biodiversity Symposium 2025 was Viktor Lundmark from RISE, who presented a poster on the different results coming from using different methods for biodiversity footprinting in life cycle assessment (LCA).

Lundmark’s research underscored the importance of using multiple methods in biodiversity footprinting to capture a more comprehensive picture of environmental impacts. The presentation called for method sensitivity analysis as a prerequisite for corporate decision-making aimed at conserving biodiversity.
