BioValue Final Video – Pathways to Valuing Biodiversity in Spatial Planning

Resource description:

This video presents the synthesis of the BioValue project, summarising its main findings, conceptual frameworks, Arenas’ achievements and recommended pathways to incorporate biodiversity values into spatial planning and governance. It showcases how BioValue’s analytical approach links biodiversity and ecosystem services with spatial planning instruments, environmental assessments and economic and financial mechanisms — promoting transformative change for biodiversity in different contexts.

Through a concise and accessible format, the video highlights key project achievements and their background. It also outlines the conditions needed for upscaling — including stakeholder engagement, cross-sectoral governance, ecological baselines, and long-term monitoring.
