Resource description:
The book defines 29 indicators of sustainable neighbourhoods, which provide a diverse representation across scientific disciplines of factors that influence sustainable neighborhoods.
The book has three main objectives: First, to identify and compile sustainability indicators applicable at the neighbourhood level. Second, to promote interdisciplinary academic dialogue, by incorporating new disciplines to the dialogue on urban questions (for example, aerosol physics, social work, and law). Third, to increase interactions between researchers, planners, societal actors, and residents, through a book that presents multidisciplinary scientific knowledge in an accessible format for practical application.
