Over the past four years, the trans4num project (https://trans4num.eu/en/) has been working across Europe and with partners in China to explore how a diverse range of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), including approaches rooted in agroecology and regenerative agriculture, can contribute to more sustainable and circular nutrient management.
As the project reaches its conclusion, you are invited to our final policy event, together with policymakers, researchers, farmer organisations, and other key stakeholder organisations, to explore how our scientific evidence and practical experience can be translated into effective and scalable policy action.
The programme will be structured around three core policy questions:
- What is working: Which NBS are effective, where, and under what conditions?
- What is needed for farm-level adoption: How can economic, regulatory and market frameworks stimulate uptake by farmers?
- What is needed to enable scaling: How can collaborative landscape approaches and decision-support tools enable wide-scale uptake and implementation?
The event will conclude with a synthesis of the key policy messages emerging from the discussions and their relevance for current policy initiatives supporting the European Union’s Zero Pollution ambition.
