Event title

As climate change increases the frequency and intensity of droughts, floods and water quality challenges, regional and local authorities are under growing pressure to ensure sustainable and resilient water management. To support this effort, a forthcoming online webinar on Thursday, 3 September 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (CEST) will bring together EU-funded projects, local and regional authorities, adaptation practitioners and members of the Mission Adaptation community to explore practical solutions that strengthen water resilience across Europe.

The webinar will showcase innovative tools, approaches, and real-world demonstrators developed through projects funded by the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change and the European Green Deal Call. Participants will learn how these solutions are helping communities restore ecosystems, improve water efficiency, develop circular water systems and strengthen climate-resilient water management.

Aligned with the objectives of the European Water Resilience Strategy (2025), the event highlights how research and innovation can help restore the water cycle, build a water-smart economy and secure sustainable water resources for people, the environment and the economy.

The online event will be open to regional and local authorities, Mission and Green Deal projects, National Adaptation Contact Points, NGOs, civil society organisations, private sector stakeholders and other actors interested in climate adaptation and water resilience.
