Objective
As part of the EcoDaLLi project, a ‘Coordination and Support Action’ (CSA) of the Danube and Black Sea Lighthouse, the goal is to develop an integrated approach to support innovators in implementing NBS to protect and restore the basin's ecosystem and biodiversity.
To achieve this, the project has developed:
- A methodology for assessing and implementing NBS in innovative projects;
- A best-practice catalogue of NBS along the Danube River; and
- Policy recommendations for building an environment conducive to the application of NBS.
This workshop aims to gather feedback from key stakeholders to ensure these tools and recommendations are practical and tailored to local contexts.
The workshop will also explore how to adapt these findings, based on a thorough analysis of the Danube River Basin, to the Black Sea. It will address the following key questions:
- How can NBS contribute to a more resilient Danube River and Black Sea?
- How can existing initiatives in both regions collaborate to support NBS?
- How can citizens, especially youth, engage in NBS implementation?
