Resource description:
The Swiss SolarWind Explorer (SSWE) web tool was developed with the aim of identifying areas in Switzerland that are suitable for solar and wind energy plants and cause as few conflicts of objectives as possible. The tool is aimed at spatial planners in cantons and municipalities, energy companies, teachers, researchers and interested private individuals. It can help to make a complex and often abstract topic understandable and to support it with quantitative data. In this way, the development of sustainable solutions for solar and wind power plants should be supported.
