Natural Environment Valuation Online: a web-based tool for natural capital and the sustainable management of natural resources
The new NEVO tool is a map-based decision support tool to inform decisions that affect the natural environment of England and Wales. It makes use of state-of-the-art environmental and economic models developed by the University of Exeter in a user-friendly interface. The tool assesses the value of ecosystem services relating to agriculture, recreation, forestry, carbon emissions, biodiversity and water quantity/quality. Users will be able to change model parameters to so as to inform particular decisions they are involved in. NEVO has been funded by Defra. The webinar will be presented by Prof. Brett Day of the University of Exeter.
