The Nature Restoration Regulation (NRR) aims to restore significant areas of degraded terrestrial and marine ecosystems across the EU. National Restoration Plans for each member state define how ecological restoration will be upscaled far beyond current practice. Their ambition and effectiveness are being evaluated by the European Commission. This event will host leading European experts to discuss the current situation and explore novel perspectives and solutions for nature restoration under the NRR. The focus will be on solutions that are realistic, environmentally effective, economically feasible, and socially acceptable whilst being ambitious and innovative enough to meet the challenge of rapid upscaling.
