Resource description:
This publication by the European Research Executive Agency (European Commission) presents the latest REA list of EU-funded NbS research and innovation projects in different environments. It includes 105 projects, bringing together 1,774 partners from around 85 countries. The projects analyze the applicability of NbS in urban contexts and beyond, exploring a wide range of economic, social, and environmental benefits.
"Nature-based solutions (NbS) are inspired and supported by nature, they are
cost-effective, simultaneously provide environmental, social and economic benefits and help build resilience; such solutions bring more, and more diverse, nature and natural features and processes into cities, landscapes and seascapes, through locally adapted, resource-efficient and systemic interventions. NbS must benefit biodiversity and support the delivery of a range of ecosystem services."
