IPBES Nexus Assessment: Thematic Assessment Report on the Interlinkages among Biodiversity, Water, Food and Health

This report provides a critical assessment of the interlinkages between these five nexus elements, with a focus on biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people. It highlights how these systems interact and where integrated approaches are needed. It also identifies Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and governance options that can address multiple challenges simultaneously, supporting more coordinated, cross-sectoral action. By strengthening understanding of these connections, the report helps policymakers design more holistic, just, and sustainable strategies across scales.
