  • Advancing Climate Adaptation through Nature-based Solutions
    Date: 3-8 May 2026; Location: Vienna, Austria

  • Green for Whom: Housing Inequality for Greening Cities

    Nature-based solutions (NbS) gained a central role in European and global policy agendas.   • Foundations for local and subnational engagement in the CBD

  • STOA Workshop: Nature-Based Solutions Against Forest Wildfires

    Wildfire risk in Europe is intensifying and expanding geographically due to climate change and land-use shifts, bringing growing environmental, economic, and social impacts.   • World Urban Forum

  • Carbon-Smart Urban Green 2026: Co-Carbon Festival
    Date: 20 May 2026; Location: Helsinki, Finland
    The Carbon-Smart Urban Green Festival launches in May with a series of free exhibitions, interactive geocaching activities, and a seminar presenting the latest results of the CO-CARBON project. The session culminates in the seminar “Where is urban green in climate action?” on May 20, exploring the role of urban nature in advancing cities’ climate goals. Register here!

  • Climate Chance Summit 2026 
    Date: 3-4 June 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The summit will be focused on “Climate change adaptation, a lever for resilience and prosperity in Europe: preparing and leading the way”. This Summit will bring together key stakeholders in climate action: local authorities, European and national institutions, businesses, NGOs, researchers, and civil society networks. 

  • European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)
    Date: 9-11 June 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium and online. 
    The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) is organising the 20th edition of EU’s flagship event for clean energy and renewables, the European Sustainable Energy Week. Register for EUSEW 2026 here.

  • European Urban Resilience Form (EURESFO)
    Date: 17-19 June 2026; Location: Guimarães, Portugal
    The 13th European Urban Resilience Forum will be held on 17-19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal. City representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions will convene in the city denominated as European Green Capital for 2026 with the shared goal of advancing strategies, initiatives, and actions on climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and the strengthening of urban resilience. The focus of the 2026 edition will be on exploring integrated approaches to climate resilience that move beyond adaptation. Register here.

  • Cohesion for a Sustainable Transition Conference
    Date: 8 June, 2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium and online.The event brings together public authorities and other stakeholders working on Cohesion Policy investments for sustainability transitions. Participants will explore solutions in areas such as biodiversity, climate adaptation and energy efficiency, discover concrete project examples, exchange with peers, and get the latest updates on EU policy.   • London Climate Action Week
    Date: 20-28 June 2026; Location: London, United Kingdom
    This event harnesses the unique power of London to drive both global and local climate action, bringing together its exceptional network of climate and non-climate organisations to accelerate impact across sectors. It creates a space to strengthen collaboration, share practical solutions, and support action in London that reinforces the city’s role as a global climate leader. Registrations will open shortly. 

  • Hamburg Sustainability Conference
    Date: 29-30 June 2026; Location: Hamburg, Germany
    This conference provides a space for critical reflection on topics such as the governance of international organizations and entrepreneurial approaches to sustainable development, fostering dialogue across disciplines and perspectives.

  • Soils for Europe Conference
    Date: 7-11 September 2026; Location: Coimbra, Portugal
    The Soils for Europe conference, co-organised by multiple Mission Soil projects, will highlight panels on the Mission Objectives, including cross-cutting sessions aiming to showcase the latest research being developed across Europe.While the event will allow for the showcasing of innovations being produced by various European-funded projects, the conference will be open to  all researchers and practitioners in an effort to bring together the best and most innovative initiatives in the European space, including a day dedicated to the Living Labs initiatives

  • CARDIMED Conference 2026
    Date: 21-22 September 2026; Location: Utrecht, Netherlands
    Organised by CARDIMED project in collaboration with Utrecht University and its Pathways to Sustainability programme, the conference will bring together researchers, practitioners, planners, policy makers and artists to explore how urban rivers can be renatured and regenerated to foster climate resilience, biodiversity recovery and social connection. The programme will combine plenary sessions with interactive seed sessions, designed to stimulate emerging ideas and collaborations.   • Brussels Climate Week Conference
    Date: 12-10 October  2026; Location: Brussels, Belgium
    The Brussels Climate Week Conference is the central forum of the Week, bringing together European institutions, Member States, industry, cities, investors, and innovators to shape the future of Europe’s climate-industrial transition. Over five themed days, the Conference will explore how Europe can advance resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability through high-level dialogues, curated roundtables, and cross-sector networking that turn ambition into action.   • NbS International Congress 
    Date: 2-6 November 2026; Location: Paris, France
    The NbS  International Congress will bring together more than 500 researchers, practitioners, city and region representatives, national and EU authorities, policy-makers, local and international organisations, investors, businesses, and civil society from the NbS community.  Through different thematic tracks —from science to policy and practice, and across diverse ecosystems and topics— the congress will offer a week of exchange across science, practice and policy, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the international network.  

    • Scientific Conference: Organised by PERP SOLU-BIOD, the Scientific Conference will take place on  4, 5 and 6 November 2026 at Sorbonne University. A registration fee will be required. The call for sessions is now open!  

    • NetworkNature Week: Running from 2 to 4 November 2026, the NetworkNature Week will feature a series of events designed to inspire and build the capacity of the NbS community and beyond to continue taking action for nature. Registrations will open soon!  Key events not to miss:
