After you have made an account on Oppla, click your profile icon in the top right corner of your screen. Once here, you’ll see a button reading “Upgrade to a verified user”. Click this to change your account status.
When upgrading to a verified user we will ask for your full name, the organisation you’re with (you can leave this blank if it’s not relevant), your job title, and a profile picture. The picture does not have to be you, but we ask for one to help distinguish your account.
What can I do on Oppla if I have not completed setting up my account?
If you do not complete your profile you can only post events and view groups.
What is a group?
A group is an online space for organisations to store their work and keep their community updated on project developments. Group members can upload news, articles, case studies, events, and any other information their community requires.
Groups function like a normal website but they’re facilitated through Oppla, the European hub for nature-based solutions, providing groups access to an active community of thousands. Even if your project has ended, you can use groups to archive your outputs and resources, spreading your message to thousands that care.
We also offer a bespoke service to personalise your group page, suitable for larger projects involving multiple organisations or requiring a more complex infrastructure, like Atrack.
What content can I share in a group?
Articles, case studies, events, and resources, are the main content styles you can post in your group. Within these categories, you can share videos, pictures, infographics, event details, and more, depending on your needs. Chat to us by emailing support@oppla.eu and we can help you set up a group to match your requirements.
Who can join groups?
Groups are open to anyone that wants to share knowledge or has an interest in learning more about nature-based solutions, biodiversity, and protecting nature. This can include teachers, campaigners, scientists, students, senior academics, business owners, artists- the list goes on. It’s up to individual groups to define membership criteria and review requests to join.
