Nature4Cities - Diagnostic of your city's trends with Colouree and/or Greencity

Do you work for a council, as policy-maker or in urban or green spaces planning? Colouree and Greencity will help you set up an exhaustive and ongoing monitoring system to (i) identify the best place for your NbS projects, (ii) support data-driven and collective decision-making and (iii) monitor your impact on biodiversity, well-being or appearance. These tools will be especially useful to follow the impact over time of your NbS projects! The resulting diagnoses of 4 cities are available in the Nature4Cities platform, to help you discover the potential of this type of diagnosis in decision-making regarding NbS projects.

Two modules, Colouree Analytic and Greencity, propose diagnostics.

• Colouree is a web-based tool that offers an interactive and visual access to spatial information and qualitative rating of urban built up spaces, with real-time results of almost 1 million measurements and geo-referred data per analysis. It offers Ai, Data and Location Analytics to understand and measure how built up spaces of our cities “perform” compared to those services, amenities, commutes, wellbeing and experiences that the ultimate users require, supporting smart and faster decision making to address environmental challenges while enabling economic growth.
• Greencity is a set of web mapping interfaces, serving to visualise and monitor the extent and structure of natural areas in an urban territory. It provides data and indicators on biodiversity conservation (e.g. corridors and fragmentation of nature) and wellbeing (e.g. social equity in terms of accessibility of green areas), all of which are interactive. It uses satellite images and local statistics to provide relevant indicators and help manage territories.

This tool was developed in the scope of the project Nature4Cities. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 730468
