Understanding the temporal changes in ecology across Europe both past and future are vital to understanding the role of rewilding in ensuring future trends are positive. This session takes a pragmatic approach to understanding how European environments are changing over time; included in this is how rewilding is perceived and accepted by European societies, what opportunities are open to enable rewilding to guide positive changes and enhancement within existing land use patterns and the indicators that help us to understand the trends and changes that may occur.
