The Lithuanian Living Lab, BeWell – “Enhancing Biodiversity and Human Well-being: Education and Green Infrastructure at VMU Campus”, coordinated by Vytautas Magnus University, focuses on biodiversity and the integration of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) into education and campus practices, addressing climate change adaptation and community engagement.
Building on existing biodiversity, educational and community activities at the VMU Agriculture Academy campus, eNaBlS has enabled a more structured Living Lab approach, including the development of the VMU Arboretum as a real-life learning environment and the integration of NBS into formal Higher Education through a new 3 ECTS course, “Nature-Based Solutions for Environmental Protection”.
The Living Lab also strengthens links between Higher Education and VET/TVET through experiential learning, co-creation and stakeholder engagement, supporting the development of NBS-related competences across both education sectors.
