The overall objective of the OpenNESS project was to translate the concepts of ecosystem services and natural capital into operational frameworks that provide tested, practical and tailored solutions for informing sustainable land, water and urban management at different locales and scales.
OPERAs is a European research project that is helping to put cutting edge ecosystem science into practice. Composed of scientists, researchers and practioners from 27 different organisations the project seeks to help stakeholders to apply the ecosystem services and natural capital concept into practice.
EnRoute stands for Enhancing Resilience of urban ecosystems through green infrastructure. EnRoute is a project of the European Commission in the framework of the EU Biodiversity Strategy and the Green Infrastructure Strategy. EnRoute provides scientific knowledge of how urban ecosystems can support urban planning at different stages of policy and for various spatial scales and how to help policy-making for sustainable cities.
