This webinar will include a challenge to the monitoring community!
Join A-Track, the Nature Positive Initiative and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) for a webinar exploring the latest globally agreed metrics for measuring nature and how these metrics can support businesses to understand their nature-related issues and transform business models towards nature-positive outcomes.
15 October 2026
8:30-10:00 CEST & 16:00-17:30 CEST
The webinar will first focus on globally agreed metrics to measure the state of nature and how those are incorporated in major disclosure and target-setting frameworks. The Nature Positive Initiative will present its recently launched State of Nature Indicators and Metrics Framework, while the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) will explore how the metrics are being integrated into the updated LEAP approach and can inform business decision-making, assessment and disclosure. A complementary presentation from the Science Based Targets Networks (SBTN) will demonstrate how the metrics are being integrated within their target framework.
Building on these presentations, speakers from A-Track partners the Capitals Coalition, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) and Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) will share insights into how nature metrics can be embedded into nature positive business models and archetypes. They will share how to assess nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities to support the transition towards the global societal goal of a nature-positive future. Business case studies will also showcase practical experiences of measuring the state of nature and transforming business models.
The webinar will close with an open Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to put their questions to the speakers and explore how nature metrics can be translated into practical action.
