The H2020-funded NICE Project focuses on nature-based solutions (nbs) to mitigate pollution and contribute to water reuse for a circular urban water cycle, based on capturing, retaining and treating water. Within this framework, 11 Urbal Real Lab‘s around the globe, some of which with enhanced bioaumentation, and 14 pioneering partners work together to develop and test these innovative solutions, while defining guidelines, business models, identifying opportunities in current regulatory frameworks, and raising awareness for co-creation.

During this webinar, CETIM (Daiane Trevisan) will outline the NICE Project goals and activities, followed by the NICE Project partner LISODE (Marina Gentle), who will present recommendations to connect, discuss and plan with stakeholders possible interventions that integrate NICE solutions. Finally, the city of Gdánsk (Magdalena Gajewska) will present to the audience how this was achieved in their own context, with specific examples of raising awareness and collaborative co-design practices in Gdánsk. The webinar is designed to assess local governments' needs and challenges for circular wastewater management. For this, we based on the inputs collected during the NICE Cities Panel virtual meetings, develop this year under the NICE Project framework.
