Droughts have had severe impacts over the past years and the 2022 compound drought and heat events over the whole continent cost EUR 40 billion (EEA, 2023). Across Europe, communities grapple with devastating droughts. But amidst these challenges lie remarkable opportunities for innovation and resilience.

Join us at this event, “Drying Landscapes: Embracing Water Resilience in a Changing Climate,” where we will showcase regions and local communities that have faced severe droughts and improved their resilience. This event will feature expert speakers and case studies, providing insights into effective drought management strategies and tools. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions, including a warm-up quiz and Q&A, and learn from real-world examples of successful adaptation initiatives. We aim to empower participants with knowledge and resources to enhance their own community's resilience against droughts.
