This webinar, organised in collaboration with the Green Deal H2020 FIRE-RES project and SilvaMediterranea Working Group on Forest Fires, highlights initiatives targeting fire-resilient territories and Integrated Fire Management.
The speakers will tackle diferent dimensions of fire-resilient landscapes, from their design (Palaiologos Palaiologou, University of Aegean, Greece), governance aspects such as Policy inclusiveness and coherence (Eduard Plana, CTFC, Spain), societal aspect such as educational tools (Conceiçao Colaço, ISA, Portugal), and economic challenges for financing fuel management (Elena Górriz, CTFC, Spain). Those dimensions remain key for wildfire risk management for subsequent discussion during the 8MFW Session 4, Wildfire prevention and post-fire restoration”
The webinars offer the opportunity to explore the key issues for research, policy and practice in the weeks leading up to 8th Mediterranean Forest Week. Through these webinars, pertinent points of discussion will be identified for subsequent debate during the 8MFW.
