Rewilding Knowledge
Rewilding Knowledge brings together innovative and creative rewilding science projects from across Europe to share knowledge and understanding of science and policy approaches to rewilding. We are a community focused on leading the way in rewilding science to contribute to nature restoration across Europe, through providing resources, best practice and policy advice.
Project Outline
The rewilding knowledge community share a focus of developing our understanding of how rewilding science can help to meet the climate and biodiversity crises, on land and sea, through the creation of management approaches in Europe where nature leads the way in regenerating, managing and adapting to our changing world.
The community evolved from the Horizon Europe rewilding project wildE which has the ambition to create a lasting project legacy of a rewilding science community for Europe. Sibling Horizon Europe projects Wildcard and Rewrite have worked with wildE to develop the community and share their knowledge and project findings. These founding partners welcome other rewilding science projects to join the community so we can grow and develop a vital knowledge resource that can drive rewilding efforts across the continent, linking to the global rewilding science community.
