Invest4Nature

Invest4Nature is an EU-funded research and innovation project that contributes to the creation of a market for nature-based solutions (NBS).

Over the course of four years, 15 European partners from research, industry and the public sector are joining forces to develop a better understanding of the economic and financial performance of nature-based solutions and to promote investments in the measures. This serves as a basis for the development of a market to enable a broad deployment of nature-based solutions.

Objectives

• Develop a detailed understanding of the economic costs and benefits of nature-based solutions, to enable the creation of business models and suitable market conditions.
• Develop a decision support tool to help private and public stakeholders make informed decisions on NBS investments with highest social impacts and highest expected net present value.
• Create a multi-stakeholder online workspace for engagement and information sharing.
• Establish a European NBS investment community.
