To support the work of the European Commission around the Regulation, a call for applications to select members of the expert sub-group on the Nature Restoration Regulation has been released! The Nature Restoration Regulation entered into force on August 18th, 2024.

This new expert group will be part of the EUBP governance structure (as a new EUBP sub-group) and composed of Member states’ authorities, other public entities and organisations. Besides, organisations that are already EUBP members need to re-apply to be considered in the selection procedure.

Concretely, the expert group will support the European Commission in preparing delegated acts, in developing guidance and in sharing good practices. It will also act as a “rapporteur” on the Regulation’s implementation.

Members will be appointed for 5 years to support the European Commission work, with 70 seats available in total. This expert group will meet at least twice a year and will be chaired by a DG Environment representative.

Further information for application criteria can be found here.

Deadline to apply is September 27th, 2024!
