Oppla Outline

26 April 2019

We’ve been inspired by the climate activists dominating the news! The Extinction Rebellion movement is calling for governments worldwide to act in reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2025. New ideas such as the Global Deal for Nature, which calls for $100 billion per year to be spent on ecosystems, could provide blueprints for avoiding disaster.

Is it possible for major economies to reach net-zero emissions by 2025? Could we invest $100 billion per year in ecosystems and avoid a mass extinction? We must try. And natural capital will play an important role in the years ahead.
